Looking For The Perfect Indoor Blinds? Try Dual Roller Blinds

Posted on

Indoor blinds offer great window treatment options for your home. They let you control the amount of light and privacy you want, depending on your needs and the time of the day. However, you can take this flexibility to another level and enjoy even more window treatment options if you choose to install dual roller blinds. Read on to learn more.

What are dual roller blinds?

Dual roller blinds are typical roller blinds with a twist; there are two blind layers instead of just one. They are both mounted on the same frame, with one layer being directly on top of the other. There is therefore an inner and an outer blind layer with this design.

The inner blind layer is light. It's designed with large pores to let air in. Most dual roller blinds also have inner blinds that are UV treated to block out harmful UV sun rays and to also filter the amount of light coming in. The outer blind layer is heavier and thicker than the inner one. It is designed for blocking light and creating maximum indoor privacy. Together, both the inner and the inner blind create the dual roller blind.

How are they used?

Dual roller blinds are used just like any other blind. They are operated via chain action for easy opening and closing.  You can choose to open both blinds, close both blinds, open only one of the blinds, or to open both blinds halfway up.

When both blinds are fully open, you get maximum light and air into your indoor spaces. When only the inner blind is closed, you get filtered light, limited breeze and a bit of privacy. When the outer blind is closed as well, you get no light and maximum privacy. When both the inner and the outer blinds are opened halfway, you get to control light, privacy, and air movements at varying proportions.

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide how to draw your dual roller binds as per the environment you want to create inside your house.

How are dual roller blinds better than other blinds?

Dual blinds are better than traditional blinds because they offer you more options in regards to lighting, privacy, and letting air into your indoor spaces. Instead of having to choose between light or no light, privacy or no privacy, breeze or no breeze, with dual roller blinds, you get to enjoy all these options under one product.
